Meet Luna Wave's Coastal Edit: hair claws and clips inspired by seashells, starfish and ocean blues. Some feature layered shell motifs, others use precision-fit colour inlays or individual crystal accents. The making is as considered as the look.

We started with shell curves, starfish silhouettes and the contrast of clean white against blue. The challenge was keeping these seaside details polished enough to wear with denim, linen or a simple dress, not only at the beach.

The most interesting details aren't always obvious in a photograph. Here's how three different finishes are made.
CALISTA SHELL CLAW
Layered shell appliqué.
Calista has a creamy acetate base. Two pink shell shapes are formed separately, then attached to the claw rather than printed flat. Their raised finish creates dimension, with delicate crystals as a final accent.

CORALINE CLAW
Precision-fit starfish inlay.
Three starfish-shaped openings are cut into the claw body. Matching shapes cut from a contrasting colour sheet are fitted inside. The join must be accurate and level: a visible gap, colour transfer or raised edge can spoil the finish. Small crystals add another precise step.

WHALE BUBBLES CLAW
A whale tail in crystals.
Its whale-tail motif is assembled from rhinestones in several shades, rather than printed onto the claw. Against a bright white body, tiny dust particles and surface marks are easy to see. Clean handling, accurate placement and a smooth surface are particularly important.

03 / HOW TO WEAR IT
Half-Up, Twist,
or Just a Clip.
For medium to thick hair, Calista's 9.2 cm size and curved teeth work particularly well for half-up styles and twists. Coraline and Whale Bubbles offer a lightweight, secure hold for easy updos. Marina Clip, made with translucent blue acetate, is ideal for keeping front sections back during skincare, makeup or everyday wear.
