At Luna Wave, we believe beautiful hair accessories should feel good in every way.

That means thoughtful design, better materials, longer-lasting pieces and small choices that help reduce unnecessary waste.

We are not here to claim perfection. Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and we are committed to making more considered choices as we grow.

Our Materials

Cellulose Acetate

Many of our claw clips, hair pins and statement accessories are made from cellulose acetate, a material derived from natural cellulose.

It has a smooth, polished finish and a premium feel that sets it apart from conventional plastic. It is lightweight, durable and designed to last with proper care.

Because acetate sheets are layered and cut, each piece can have its own subtle variation in colour, depth and pattern. This is part of what makes every Luna Wave accessory feel a little more special.

Fabrics & Scrunchies

Our scrunchies are made from carefully selected fabrics, with a focus on softness, comfort and everyday wearability.

Where possible, we explore deadstock, lower-impact and limited-run textiles to reduce excess waste while still creating pieces that feel beautiful to wear.

Packaging

We are mindful of how our products are packed and shipped.

Our goal is to keep packaging simple, considered and protective, without unnecessary excess. As we grow, we will continue to review our packaging choices and look for better ways to reduce waste.

Made to Last

We design Luna Wave accessories to be kept, worn and loved, not replaced after only a few uses.

A well-made claw clip, scrunchie or hair accessory should become part of your daily routine. This is why we focus on quality, comfort and timeless styling rather than chasing disposable trends.

The 365 Loop Recycle Program

Even well-loved accessories can eventually reach the end of their life.

Our 365 Loop Recycle Program was created to help keep old Luna Wave pieces out of landfill. After 365 days, eligible Luna Wave accessories can be sent back to us so they can be responsibly collected and recycled through our recycling partner.

It is one small step towards a more circular approach to hair accessories.

Luna Wave was born in Perth, surrounded by coastline, sun and ocean air.

That connection to the natural environment is part of who we are as a brand. We want to create accessories that feel joyful, expressive and elevated, while also making more thoughtful choices about materials, packaging and product life cycles.
