Founder Story

Hamie grew up in Shanghai, where her grandmother’s vintage hair clips quietly filled drawers with colour, texture, and memory.
They weren’t collected as trends, but kept as everyday objects — worn, cared for, and passed down. Each piece carried a sense of time, something that remained even as styles changed.

After moving to Western Australia, Hamie found a familiar feeling in a different place.
In the ocean.
In the light.
In the ease of movement and space.

Life by the coast reshaped her understanding of beauty — less constructed, more instinctive. Hair was no longer something to be styled for occasions, but something that moved with the body through daily life: after swimming, after sport, in quiet moments between places.

Luna Wave was born from this shift.

The brand brings together memory and environment — the intimacy of small, personal objects from home, and the calm confidence of Australian coastal living. Each piece is designed to feel effortless and grounded, never overworked, never loud.

Hamie designs with restraint.
She believes accessories should complete a look without announcing themselves — pieces you reach for without thinking, then keep using over time.

Luna Wave is not about chasing trends or making statements.
It is about clarity.
About choosing fewer things, better.
About everyday objects that feel natural to wear, and worth keeping.
